Hotel & Guesthouse Photography in Astana and Almaty

Rooms, lobbies and restaurants photographed the way guests will remember them

About hotel photography

Photos are the first thing a guest sees when choosing a hotel — and the main conversion factor on Booking and Airbnb. Professional room photography pays for itself in bookings: guests choose with their eyes and pay for what they saw.

I have photographed hotels in Astana and Almaty for over a decade: from boutique properties to chain hotels. I know how to show room categories so the difference between standard and suite reads instantly, and how to convey the atmosphere of public areas without people in frame.

The shoot is built around hotel operations: rooms between check-out and check-in, the restaurant before opening, the facade at dusk with evening lighting. No closure required.

How the shoot works

01

Brief and category plan

We list what to shoot: room categories, public areas, restaurant, spa, facade. Priorities are set for Booking and the website.

02

Room preparation

Housekeeping prepares rooms using my checklist: perfectly made beds, pressed textiles, styled amenities. One prepared room per category is enough.

03

Zone-by-zone shoot

I shoot rooms, lobby, restaurant and facilities in segments, adapting to occupancy. The facade and grounds are captured at sunset, with aerial shots if needed.

Retouching and platform-ready sets

Retouched frames formatted for Booking, the website and advertising: correct sequence from overview to details, full resolution plus web versions.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a hotel shoot take?

A boutique hotel with 3–4 room categories takes one day. A large property with restaurant, spa and conference areas — two to three days. The exact plan follows the brief and zone list.

Do we need to clear the hotel of guests?

No. We shoot one prepared room per category, and public areas during low-occupancy hours. Guests usually do not even notice the shoot.

Do the photos meet Booking requirements?

Yes: horizontal orientation, at least 4000 px on the long side, realistic colour without oversharpening. The set is ready for direct extranet upload.

Can aerial shots be added?

Yes — location is a strong selling point. Aerial views of the facade, grounds and surroundings complete the set; I arrange city flight permits myself.

What about usage rights?

A perpetual licence for all channels: Booking and aggregators, website, social media, advertising, press. Fixed in the contract.
