At MOSS Bureau, a collective of dedicated specialists — photographer, videographer, retoucher, and drone pilot — works in harmony to create a cinematic image. We unify our unique perspectives to capture each project in its absolute, expressive depth.

I have been photographing interiors and architecture for 14 years. I began in reportage, until I realised spaces are more interesting than events — they tell stories about people without the people in them. Since then the portfolio has grown past 47 projects in Astana and Almaty: apartments and private houses, Capital Tower and Esentai City offices, Forte Bank VIP branches, the Tor’Re hotel, restaurants and equestrian clubs. I work with Kazakhstan’s leading interior designers — many portfolio projects were shot for their publications and award entries.

I shoot on a full-frame camera with tilt-shift lenses — they keep verticals straight without the corner stretching typical of wide phone shots. Every frame is built on a tripod; light is mixed — natural from the windows plus strobe where a shadow needs opening. Retouching is manual, frame by frame: colour, depth, removal of distracting details. To me interior photography is closer to portraiture than to documentation: every space has a character, and the shoot exists to convey it.
